Alex Graduates
Before break, we celebrated the graduation of one of our wonderful students, Alex, who has been with us since 2006. Over the last fourteen years, Alex has shown us his love for his family and staff, his favorite holidays, and of course his excitement for Disneyland. We are going to miss you, Alex
Adaptive P.E. With Tyler
Our Adaptive Physical Education teacher, Tyler, has kept all of our clients and students active while we have been distance learning. On Tyler’s Google classroom you can find a variety of physical activities that can be done at home. He has videos demonstrating bowling, bean bag bocce and yoga. There are also plenty of games like hot potato and freeze dance to play. This month Tyler started a fitness class on Wednesdays for our students and Fridays for our Adult Program clients.
Celebrating the Holidays at Morgan Autism Center
This year, the holidays looked a bit different for Morgan Autism Center. With that said, our students and clients still had a wonderful time celebrating. One of our students, Benji, shared some of his family traditions with his class. He showed his classmates and teachers how to light a menorah and shared traditional treats such as donuts and latkes. Adult Program client, Jack, got into the Hanukkah spirit by sorting colorful dreidels.
On the last day before break, many classrooms celebrated the holidays with virtual gift exchanges, dance parties and even visits from Santa!
Happy New Year from Morgan Autism Center!
